Seven people were injured, including one person who suffered critical injuries, in a three-vehicle collision Saturday evening on State Route 154 near the entrance to Lake Cachuma, authorities said.
The collision was reported at 7:15 p.m. A BMW was traveling east on the 154 when it crashed head-on into a Toyota pickup truck. A jeep traveling behind the BMW then struck the two other vehicles, according to fire officials.
The person who suffered critical injuries was airlifted by Calstar helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Three people suffered moderate injuries and were transported via ground ambulance to Cottage. Three others suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The 154 was shut down for a time following the crash.
