The city of Santa Barbara will host a workshop next month to discuss potential regulations to reduce alcohol-related problems for licensed alcohol outlets.
The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at City Hall, 735 Anacapa St. It will include a presentation by Anthony Wagner, manager of permits and licensing for the Santa Barbara Police Department, according to a news release.
“Local control of alcohol policies can be effective in promoting moderate alcohol consumption and lowering alcohol-related nuisance activity in and around our community,” Mr. Wagner said. “These policies have the potential to influence community social norms, by setting a positive benchmark for public health and safety and licensed alcohol outlets.”
