Alfred Daniel Eliason, of Mount Kisco, New York, and Bette J. Eliason (née Jarrell) of Houston, Texas, were married on February 6th, 1959, at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Palo Alto, California. They met in Dallas, Texas, and have made Santa Barbara their home since 1967.
Dan graduated Salutatorian from M.I.T., served in the United States Airforce, and locally, worked for over 25 years as an Engineer at Raytheon. Bette worked locally for the Santa Barbara Research Center, and the Santa Barbara Orchid Estate. Bette also held leadership roles in many local volunteer organizations including the Garden Study Club (founding member), Sierra Club, and the Cactus and Succulent Society.
They have two children, Alfred Daniel Eliason Jr., who lives in France with his wife Tanya Monier and their two children, Dima and Antonia, and Christina L. Eliason, who resides in Santa Barbara with her husband, Richard Lloyd.
