Passed away April 4th, 2013 in Cottage Hospital. He was born August 7, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. He & his family moved to California in 1968. Arnie worked for the post office for 37 1/2 years and was a volunteer fireman for the Norwood Park Township, Illinois for 10 years.
He was a Red Cross instructor and a Sgt. First Class for the Illinois National Guard. He was a volunteer policeman for the Lompoc Police Department for 10 years. He is a member of the Lompoc Host Lions and the Lompoc Elks. He is also a member of the International Order of Good Templars.
He is survived by his wife, Florence and son Paul (Jonnie) and grand-son Steven, and son David (Norma) and grand-daughters Kimberly & Karen. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14th at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 6595 Covingtion Way, Goleta. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund.
