LOS OLIVOS St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Church will hold a pet blessing on Sunday.
According to a church news release, more than 100 animals are expected to attend the event. It will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Rev. Dr. Randall Day will bless the animals and Adam Phillips, founder of Santa Barbara Folk Orchestra, will also perform for the crowd.
”This blessing of the animals is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi near his feast day of October 4th, honoring his love for all creatures great and small,” read the news release.
