96, peacefully passed away in New Orleans on July 26, 2013. After a long and full life she will be laid to rest in Wooster, OH. While Alzheimer’s slowly robbed her of her memories, her family and friends will never forget what a caring, warm-hearted and fun-loving person she was.
We are so very grateful for the support of the Alzheimer’s Association, and the wonderful staff of the Santa Barbara Samarkand who looked after Sara with such love and compassion during the last years of her life.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Baum. She is survived by her brothers David Shapiro (and wife Edna) and Jerry Shapiro (and wife Florence), sister Molly Miller, sons Neil Baum (and wife Linda) and John Baum (and wife Angelika),a nd grandchildren Alisa Baum-Alloy, Lauren Baum and Craig Baum.
