Passed to be with Jesus early April 7, 2013 after her battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease. She was born on November 12, 1951 in Glendale, CA to Donald and Rosemarie Jeske. Her family moved first to Ventura, then to the Santa Cruz Mountains where she graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1969. After working in Honolulu, she joined the US Army in which she served during the Vietnam War in Germany where she met her husband Frank. They were married on September 27, 1975. She graduated with honors from San Jose State with a BA in Spanish in 1980.
Christine was a teacher for 20 years and spent 1995 to 2011, at Cabrillo High School in Lompoc, CA teaching Spanish. She was Department Head and the faculty advisor for KEY Club, Spanish Club and Conqs for Christ. Christine loved to travel, especially on cruise ships. She travelled to five different continents, meeting and spending time with a variety of people. Her favorite place to travel remained Hawaii. Christine’s faith in Christ dictated how she served others and the students that she taught. Her faith is what carried her through her disease with grace and strength.
Christine is survived by her husband, Frank and her children Rachel and Benjamin, her mother Rosemarie and brother, William. She was preceded in death by her father Donald.
