Barbara Caballero-Muñoz, a vice president and loan administrator at American Riviera Bank, was the honoree of the Pacific Coast Business Times’ Business Awards in the Banking and Finance category, the bank announced in a news release.
The award was for Ms. Caballero-Muñoz’s “work ethic, contributions to the community, and her dedication to her family.”
“I am so incredibly honored by this nomination,” Ms. Caballero-Muñoz said. “It took a lot of hard work and commitment to get where I am today. However, when you work with people you consider your family, and you’re working to educate and help people, it just doesn’t seem like a job.”
Ms. Caballero-Munoz began her career in banking in 1989 while attending Santa Barbara City College. She has worked as a credit assistant and a loan officer while also helping to open banks such as Business First National Bank in 2000.
The Latino Business Awards will take place on July 18 at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
