Representative Salud Carbajal (D-Calif.) won the Congressional Management Foundation Democracy Award for Exemplary Service, the organization announced in a news release.
As a Democracy Award winner, Rep. Carbajal’s office “is one of the best in Congress,” Bradford Fitch, President and CEO of the Congressional Management Foundation, said in the news release. “This designation demonstrates that Rep. Carbajal has made a significant commitment to being the best public servant for his constituents in California. Rep. Carbajal and his staff are to be congratulated for not only being a model for colleagues in Congress, but for helping to restore trust and faith that our democratic institutions can work.”
Mr. Carbajal was recognized for excellence in the “Life in Congress” Workplace Environment category. This category is for congressional offices that have “established both formal policies and informal cultures that enhance the work-life fit and professional development of their staffs.”
