Born in Hammond, IN on November 16, 1927 to Henry Carr and Kathryn Vanheest, Joyce passed on to her new life on December 30, 2013 surrounded by all five of her loving children. She moved from Calumet City, IL to Santa Barbara in 1947 where she met and married Robert Wallace Anderson who preceded her in death in 1986. Also preceding her in death is her second husband, William T. Caspers, who passed on in 1999. The eldest of five, Joyce is survived by her siblings, Marilyn Kuhns and James Carr.
Joyce will be dearly missed by her children: Cynthia Anderson, Patricia Anderson, Cheryl Anderson, James Anderson, and David Anderson & by her grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas, and Matt. She was an adventurous and fun loving woman who loved her family and enjoyed traveling the world. Burial was held Friday, January 3, 2014 in a private ceremony at the Goleta Cemetery.
