Guido Camillo Enrico Cetti, 86, of Santa Barbara, California, passed away on April 25, 2013 after a brief bout with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 28 at Calvary Baptist Church, 736 W. Islay Street, Santa Barbara. Christian Schalesky and John Coulombe will be officiating.
Guido was born in Santa Barbara on August 27, 1926. He graduated from Santa Barbara High School. Guido was married to Katharine Jean Potier on May 7, 1950. They were married 53 years. Katharine passed away in 2003 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Determined to be his own boss, Guido tried various businesses – vacuum cleaner sales, water softener sales – among them. In 1959 he started what became Cetti Sales – a sliding glass window and door company. It grew to include mirrors, shower enclosures and skylights. This business succeeded, providing well for the family and also for many ministries and missionaries.
Guido is survived by his four children, David Cetti, Paul Cetti, Ann Harter and Nathan Cetti, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Serenity House, 930 Miramonte Drive, Santa Barbara, California 93109.
