SANTA BARBARA Santa Barbara will be holding their July 4 celebrations at West Beach and on Stearns Wharf, the city announced in a news release.
The celebration on West Beach will occur from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will have local musicians, food and other attractions. Food vendors will be Cabrillo Boulevard from State to Castillo streets. The fireworks display will start at 9 p.m. and will go for 20 minutes from the West Beach location.
Stearns Wharf is more family-oriented and will also feature music. The celebration starts at 11 a.m. and ending when the fireworks start. The Wharf is also a great place to view the fireworks, the city said in the news release.
The city is advising that travelers use public transportation such as Santa Barbara MTD, Amtrak Surfliner, walk, or bike to the waterfront. For more information on public transportation and shuttles, along with bike information go to www.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/SBFourth.
