This Father’s Day, splurge on Dad by renting a classic car. Better yet, put those lessons he taught you about the importance of saving money to work by taking him to a free classic car show.
The “Father’s Day Car Show” revs up 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 16 at Channel Islands Harbor View Park, 3600 Harbor Blvd., in Oxnard. Along with custom cars, hot rods and classics on display, there will be a cornhole tournament, food booths, musical entertainment and more. Admission is free. More classic cars will be on display that day from noon to 4 p.m. at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, 3900 Bluefin Circle, in Oxnard. “From Tree to the Sea: Father’s Day Wooden Boat Show and Classic Cars” will also feature classic wooden boats as well as toy boat races and other family-friendly activities. Boat access is $3, boat access with museum admission is $10 for adults, $8 seniors and active military, $6 students 6-17 and free to children under 6.
