CARPINTERIA Several closures are planned next week as work continues on the Linden and Casitas Pass Highway 101 widening project.
From 9 p.m. March 15 to 5 a.m. March 16, as well as overnight hours between March 16 to March 19, there will be alternating lane closures on the north side of the highway between Bailard and Linden avenues. From 9 p.m. March 15 to 7 a.m. March 16, along with overnight hours between March 16 and March 19, the southbound slow lane will be closed in the same area. Both lane closures are in place to allow crews to move concrete safety barriers near lanes, according to Caltrans officials.
During overnight hours March 15 through March 19, the northbound on and offramps and the southbound offramps at Casitas Pass Road will be closed. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16 to March 19, the northbound onramp at Linen Avenue will be closed for sidewalk installation at the new roundabout. The southbound offramp at Linden Avenue remains closed.
Ogan Road remains closed between Linden Avenue and Pacific Village Drive to allow crews to build the new roundabout and roadway improvements. A local street detour is available on State Route 192 and pedestrians can use the sidewalk detour on Pacific Village Drive during the closure. Irrigation work is ongoing near the Casitas Pass Road onramp and trenching for new lines is continuing around Via Real and Casitas Pass Road.
