CARPINTERIA Several closures are planned next week as work continues on the Linden and Castias Pass Highway 101 widening project in Carpinteria.
From 9 p.m. April 12 to 5 a.m. April 13, one northbound lane will be closed from State Route 150 to Evans Avenue and the offramps at Bailard Avenue and North Padaro Lane. From 8 p.m. April 15 to 5 a.m. April 16, one northbound lane will be closed, as well as the offramp at North Padaro Lane and the on and offramps at Santa Monica Road. From 8 p.m. April 16 to 5 a.m. April 17, one northbound lane and the offramp at North Padaro Lane will be closed, according to Caltrans officials.
During overnight hours April 12, one southbound lane will be closed from North Padaro to Santa Claus lanes. From 9 a.m. April 13 to 3 p.m. April 17, one southbound lane will be closed from Linden Avenue to Casitas Pass Road. During overnight hours April 13 and 14, two southbound lanes will be closed from Linden to Bailard avenues and motorists are advised to use the detour on Carpinteria avneue. During overnight hours April 16, one southbound lane will be closed from Padaro to Linden avenues.
During overnight hours April 12 to April 16, the southbound on and offramps at Reynolds Avenue will be closed. From 9 a.m. April 13 to 3 p.m. April 17, the northbound onramp at Linden Avenue will be closed. The southbound offramp at Linden Avenue remains closed, officials said.
Between Santa Claus Lane and Evans Avenue, crews will begin preparing areas for construction work zones, materials storage and concrete recycling for the Highway 101: Carpinteria widening project. That project will add new north and south carpool lanes within the city of Carpinteria, as well as new bridges over Franklin and Santa Monica creeks, on and offramps and intersection improvements.For more information, visit www.sbroads.com.
