Passed on peacefully during the early morning hours on February 20, 2013. Don was born in Oxnard, California on July 19, 1925 and lived most of his life in Santa Barbara, California. He attended Wilson Grammar School, La Cumbre Jr. High & Santa Barbara High School graduating in 1943. He went into the Army in 1944 serving overseas during the Normandy Invasion.
Don was a contractor by trade and was a member of the Masons, Elks, Toastmasters and Trail Riders. Don is survived by his loving wife, Trish, his two sons by a former marriage; Terry Craig and Jeffery Craig, both of Winchester, Calif. He is also survived by his step children Jean Misbeek-Deason (decease), Mark Abrams-Misbeek of Murietta, CA., and Michael Labots-Misbeek of Santa Barbara, Calif. whom he considered his own. Between the two families there are 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Don chose no service, instead wanting to be remembered by us looking at the beautiful mountain above Santa Barbara which he loved.
