Was born in Whittier, CA on November 11, 1928 to Russell J. Davidson and Corrine E. (Betty) Davidson. He passed away in Gilbert, AZ.
He is survived by his wife, Melba, 2 step-sons, Ken (Cindy) and Mike (Jennifer) Kelsey, and children, Scott Sheldon, Judy Davidson, Leo Davidson, Martha Koeper, Nancy Davidson and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dick grew up in Santa Barbara. He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Upon returning he followed his father’s footsteps in the plumbing business, operating Davidson’s Mesa Plumbing and heating on Cliff Drive for many years. He loved ham radio and was active in the ham radio clubs in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria for many years, volunteering for large events, testing new students and was a resource in the emergency communication network. Dick loved to bowl, ride his motorcycle and was an avid spectator at local car races. Dick loved to build and recondition computers for friends and family.
He moved to Santa Maria in 1988 and to Gilbert, AZ in 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Robert Davidson.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
