GOLETA With its beaches, butterfly grove, hiking trails and more, Goleta is earning the love of its residents and tourists. Those looking to celebrate Goleta and the things it offers can check out the seventh Annual Goleta Dam Dinner on August 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Los Carneros Dam. Attendees will be able to buy barbeque dishes from Neighbor Tim’s BBQ food truck. Santa Barbara’s favorite “aliens” the Salt Martians will be playing a collection of their eerie sounds. For those wanting to transform into another being themselves can take part in some face painting. Water, beer and wine will be sold along with #BestDamDinner T—shirts.
