(81) passed away on May 10, 2013. She was born in Belfast, Ireland to Stewart and Mary Connolly.
Betty married Tom Dolaghan in 1951 and together they moved to Los Angeles. They moved their family to Arizona in 1963, and worked on the Navajo reservation for 33 years. Betty moved to Santa Barbara after Tom’s death in 1994.
Betty was known for her hospitality, wisdom, and deep faith in Jesus. She was an accomplished pianist and soloist, and a competitive swimmer in her youth.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Caitlin, and great granddaughter Maddie. She was sister to Iris Walker, and mother to Mary Beth, Kathleen, Ruth, John, Thomas, and Jennifer. She had 19 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Betty’s life will be celebrated on May 25th at 2pm at Flagstaff Christian Fellowship in Flagstaff, Arizona. A memorial will also take place in Santa Barbara on June 29th at 2pm at Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elizabeth Dolaghan can be made to CHIEF (chief.org), Aid Child (aidchild.org) or another special ministry or charity.
