GOLETA A report of an active shooter threat placed Dos Pueblos High School under lockout Friday around 1:20 p.m.
To notify parents, a message Principal Bill Woodard, was sent to parents via ParentSquare, an app that the Santa Barbara Unified School District uses for communication. The message said that a lockout “recovers all students from outside the building, secures the building/campus perimeter and locks all outside doors.”
The threat was investigated by the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department. According to the ParentSquare message, three students admitted upon investigation admitted that the report was not true.
“I am committed to pursuing all possible disciplinary consequences,” said Mr. Woodard. “Should you have any questions, please contact my office at 805-968-2541.”
