Kian Palmer and Jonah Pepper combined for 10 strikeouts as the Dos Pueblos Little League 9U All-Star team knocked off Santa Paula, 5-2, to remain alive in the double-elimination tournament.
Grady Felix earned the save, while coach Dan Brennan pointed to the defensive play of Adan Macias and Matty Brennan as key.
Ollie Gesswein had a single and a double for DPLL, while Holden Brey added a double and Charlie Douglas picked up a single.
DPLL will return to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday against Foothill Little League, with the game being played at Goleta Valley South Little League.
