A resident of Summerland and Santa Barbara for 57 years before he moved to Glendale, AZ in 1993 to be near his daughters and grandchildren, passed surrounded by love on 12/8/2013 at 79.
Dana worked at KEYT in Santa Barbara and was the owner of The Flying Fish Company of Santa Barbara, Newfoundland, the Kingdom of Tonga, Fiji and Western Samoa. An inventor and builder he had 9 patents. He also helped his friends develop and market Hidden Valley Ranch dressing. He loved cooking for friends and family, gardening, the out doors, the ocean and ocean fishing. Most of all he loved his family, friends, and his dogs. He was always ready to help a friend. He will be greatly missed. He’s survived by family in California and Arizona. A celebration of life will be held in Summerland at a later date.
