SANTA BARBARA Firefighters quickly knocked down a structure fire early Thursday morning.
According to a Santa Barbara City Fire Department news release, at around 1:47 a.m. firefighters responded to reports of a fire in the 900 block of Bath Street.
When they arrived they saw smoke and flames coming from a multi-family dwelling.
They used hoses to knock down the fire in around nine minutes. Four residents were displaced and offered shelter for the night.
No injuries were reported by fire officials on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the initial damage estimated to be approximately $10,000.
