On March 8, 1936 a little girl was born and became the daughter of Fred and Isabelle McDonald, “Kathleen Ann McDonald.” As that daughter grew she became a sister to Elizabeth “Betsy” McDonald Baker. As she continued to grow she became an aunt to many, and a friend to so many more. To ne of those friends she became a loving wife. Kathleen married Donald Bruce Eittreim, the son of Raymond and Rose Eittreim, on October 17, 1954. For 58 years she continued to grow. That wife became a mother of five; Steven, Michael, Linda, Rachelle, and Melissa. As she continued in her life she became a grandmother of nine; Melissa, Todd, Kalen, Kyle, Kade, Kellie, Derick, Shayne, and Shannon. She even earned the status of great grandmother of four; Connor, Aubree, Ajah, and Niko.
She will also be remembered for her registered trade mark the “World Famous Jalama Burger.” On January 10, 2013 she earned the greatest title of them all, “Angel,” as she was called to heaven to share her love with even more.
We will all cherish every minute we were blessed to share with you, and learned about love like only heaven knows because of you. First Corinthians 13:13; “So Faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Though we can no longer talk we can still hear you, we can never touch but we can still feel you. You have embedded in our hearts your purpose and your love.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 3-5pm at the Village Country Club. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 636 Santa Barbara, CA 93102 or the American Cancer Society, 1432 Chapala Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101 Arrangements are under Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
