1973-2013
On April 18, 2013, this world lost a beautiful soul and will never be the same.
Born August 13th, Robert grew up on the Mesa and attended Monroe Elementary, La Cumbre Jr. High and Santa Barbara High schools with many of his lifelong friends whom he considered extended family. He personified the meaning of a true friend and exemplified it with his thoughts, words and actions.
Robert continued his education with college courses while working in construction, learning the trade and more from his father. Natural charm and intelligence was utilized working in auto sales, residential and commercial real estate brokerage. Recently, Robert kept others safe and secure as an armed security officer and private driver.
He radiated positivity and reason, always willing to offer a helping hand with his heart of gold. Family, of blood and otherwise, was everything to Robert yet all people he encountered felt his love and kindness. Robert’s love for dogs was as strong as the love for his family, and he was rewarded with unconditional love and loyalty.
Robert’s priceless smile and conquering spirit would light up a room upon entrance, his hugs and kisses warmed hearts, and his words and counsel soothed minds. A most loving son and brother, he is survived by his parents Roberto and Maria Isabel, his sisters Sylvia (Joe), Araceli and Isabel, and his brother Luis. Nieces Veronica, Alyssa, Mia and nephew Jacob were constant recipients of his endless love and positive words of encouragement. All will forever miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his loyal dog Kane.
Happiest when surrounded by family and friends, manning a BBQ grill while enjoying a glass of wine, he treasured each day and night with a keen appreciation of the rising and setting sun. We look forward to sharing those moments with him once again in another world.
A Rosary will be held Thursday at 7PM with Mass, Friday, 10AM at Holy Cross Church. To leave an online memory or condolence, please visit www. wrhsb.com. Arrangements by Welch-Ryce-Funeral Chapels.
