The McMurray Fire has burned an estimated 200 acres and fire crews are reporting 60 percent containment of the blaze.
Approximately 100 firefighters remained on scene Wednesday to reinforce lines around the fire and mop up hot spots. The fire broke out Monday afternoon near Highway 101 and McMurray Road near Buellton and prompted several evacuation orders, which were lifted several hours after the fire broke out, according to Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The 101 was shut down for a time Monday but has since been reopened.
A firefighter suffered an eye injury while assigned to the fire. That person was later cleared and returned to work, Capt. Bertucelli said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
