Five people, including an infant, were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 101 at Las Varas Canyon Road, authorities said.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area at 1:37 p.m.
A white Ford F350 was making a left turn on the southbound side of the highway when it was struck by a Toyota truck. Both vehicles left the roadway and ended up in a ditch, according to authorities.
The driver of the Ford, a man, was not injured and the passenger, a man whose age was withheld, suffered major injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, a man, was not injured. A female passenger suffered major injuries, and the male infant, who was in a car seat, suffered moderate injuries.
Names were withheld.
The three injured patients were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
