
Former UCSB standout Gabe Vincent signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
Vincent, who was originally signed by the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 3, 2018 after going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, has spent the last two seasons with the Kings’ G-League affiliate, the Stockton Kings. This season, he has appeared in 20 games (three starts) and has averaged 23.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 31.8 minutes. Vincent is shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 41.2 percent from three-point range and 89.7 percent from the foul line.
The Modesto native led Stockton to third place in the Western Conference this season with a record of 13-8. Vincent is the team leader in scoring average, points, field goals made, three-point field goals and plus/minus.
Vincent played all four years (2014-2018) at UCSB and started 105 of the 113 games he appeared in. He is the Gauchos all-time leader in three-point field goals made (243) and is top 10 in points (1,441) and assists (116).
He was named the 2015 Big West Freshman of the Year and was named to the All-Big West second team as a senior.
