Simona Gonzalez left us on July 3, 2013 to reunite with her Mother Maria Gonzalez, her Father Dionisio Ledesma, and her siblings Mauro, Manuel, Antonio, Enedina and Esperanza. Simona was the 2nd oldest of her siblings born in Yahualica, Jalisco on February 18, 1934. She worked in a restaurant as a cook in Yahualica for many years and in the late 60’s and early 70’s she went to Pittsburg where she also worked in a restaurant as a cook. She then later came to Santa Barbara and became a caregiver. After being a care giver for many years she went back to Guadalajara to care for her sick Mother. This selfless act is just one example of the way she looked after her family. Her love to her family knew no bounds. She will always be remembered by all of us that knew her well as an amazing cook and the one who helped everyone.
She leaves behind her Sisters Jovita and Josephina, her brothers Mario, Elias, and Miguel, and lots of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousin which are too many to list but loved her so much and felt her love, which will forever be her legacy!!! May you RIP Nina you will always be in our hearts!!!
