66, passed away on May 4, 2013, with his family by his side in San Tan Valley, AZ. Fred was born in Memphis, TN on October 26, 1946; raised in Cleveland, OH; started a family in Ventura, CA; moved to Seattle, WA in 1989; and finally moved to the outskirts of Phoenix, AZ in 2007. Fred was lucky enough to travel the world and experience many different places, but he knew his goal would be to one day move back to California with his wife and live the California dream. Fred always enjoyed the beauty of California and being close to family and friends. During his time in California, Fred met his wife, Gail, and they married on May 12, 1984.
He graduated from the University of California – Santa Barbara with a degree in Business Economics and continued his education later in life at the University of Phoenix to pursue a second degree in Business Management. With his education and love for flying, Fred enjoyed a career in the aerospace industry for almost 40 years. Through his profession, Fred was able to travel throughout the world and visit such places as Japan, Spain, and Holland.
Fred had many interests in life, but he truly enjoyed traveling with his family, listening to music, and playing his favorite slot machines. Fred also enjoyed cruising in his Mercedes on beautiful days, with an aptly-titled license plate – “Suerto”. While he lived in Washington, Fred would also devote his time to being on the board of directors for the Northwest Kidney Foundation.
Fred is survived by his wife, Gail Jimenez; sons, Scott and Brandt Hale; sisters, Clara Mae, Edna Pearl and Charlotte; brothers, Robert, Central and William; and grandchildren, Ramona, Fred III, Martha, Shaniya, Brandt Jr., and Marquetta. He is preceded in death by his mother, Odessa Hale; father, Clarence Hale; and son, Fred Hale, Jr.
Fred is now joining his mother and father; father-in-law, William; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth. We will miss you.
