95, of Solvang, California, passe d a w a y on December 14, 2013.
The funeral service was held for family at Loper Funeral Chapel in Ballard. Pastor Anne Grethe Krogh – Nielsen of Danish Lutheran Church in Yorba Linda officiated.
Howard was born in Dundee, Michigan on June 19, 1918. He married Anna in 1940. They were married 73 1/2 years.
Howard was a General Contractor. He and Anna were the previous owners of Solvang Gaard Lodge in Solvang. Howard was active in all of the Danish organizations. One of his favorite organizations was the Naver Club in Monrovia, California.
Howard is survived by wife, Anna ; children, Howard Jr., Kent, and Connie; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Howard was preceded in death by daughter, Carole. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
