ORCUTT A project to reconstruct the northbound Highway 101 on and offramps to accomodate a new signalized intersection at Clark Avenue near Orcutt has been rescheduled to April 20.
Motorists are expected to encounter intermittent ramp and lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting April 13 through April 17 and from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 13 through April 17. The closures are anticipated to continue until the end of August. The road work has been rescheduled from previously announced start dates of April 6 and April 13. The latest delay is due to storm activity in the area, according to Caltrans officials.
The project also includes a minor widening of the southbound on and offramps and a repaving of Clark Avenue adjacent to the 101. The contractor for the $2 million project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara. The project is expected to be complete this summer. Motorists are reminded to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
