GOLETA Portions of Highway 101 are scheduled to be closed next week for vegetation control, Caltrans announced Friday.
The southbound 101 onramp at Storke Road and Glen Annie Road will be closed from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. The No. 1 southbound lane on the 101 will be closed between Fairview Avenue and Turnpike road from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, according to officials.
The vegetation control helps for fire prevention and will also improve the appearance of the corridor. Motorists are reminded to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
