Celebration announcements are published Sunday in the Santa Barbara News-Press. Deadline for submission is Monday for the upcoming Sunday. They are a flat rate per size. We offer a 1 column by 5″ ad for $59.00. A 1 column by 8″ ad for $69.00; 2 columns by 4″ for $99.00 (this ad can accommodate 2 photos). Each additional inch is $10.00. Free basic anniversary announcements are limited to one-and-a half inches of text only (no photo) for anniversaries over 50 years. We accept cash, check, Visa, MC, American Express or Discover cards. Prepayment is required for all Celebration announcements.
Sharp, clear photos of professional quality photographs are preferred. Good contrast, vertical, head & shoulders shots work best. We will crop your photo electronically to fit our format. Photos may be color or black & white. (All photos submitted in color will run in color in print.) Due to the varying quality of photographs received, we do not reimburse or reprint for poor reproduction. Photos may be submitted electronically (in .jpg format, 200 dpi minimum) via email. Please verify receipt & acceptability. We will gladly return your photo by mail or hold it for you to pick up in our office after publication. Sorry, but we cannot be liable for any lost photographs.
