The Humanist Society of Santa Barbara has elected its Officers and Board of Directors for 2020. Roger Schlueter, who held the office of president intermittently for more than seven years, has retired. In his place, Judith Flattery, HSSB’s newsletter editor, will be assuming the role.
Other members who have recently joined the HSSB Board also include Nan Cisney and Clover Brodhead Gowing.
Established in 1995, HSSB shares the conviction that rational inquiry can provide the best foundation for human progress. Welcoming to all, with a special invitation to atheists or those who are nonreligious, HSSB hopes to promote humanist values and critical thinking on the South Coast.
