Barbara Jean Kerr passed away at her home in Santa Ynez surrounded by her family and much loved critters on March 29th. She was 79 years young. She and her husband Rex moved to Santa Barbara County in 1958, when Rex began working as a firefighter. In 1969 they moved to Los Alamos before moving to their small ranch in Santa Ynez in 1983. She loved working in real estate.
After retiring she loved traveling to Europe and toll painting/socializing in Los Alamos with her sister, Sharon and friends. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rex Kerr, her daughters Mary Beth Kerr and Marie Jacobsen and Chris Jacobsen, son-in-law. Her son Joe Kerr passed away in 2002.
She is also survived by a beloved extended family. The Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held Tuesday April 9th at 1 pm at the Senior Center in Los Alamos.
