Henry Schulte’s recent ad hominem attack on Congressman Salud Carbajal (Voices, Aug. 4) calls him a racist and a traitor. This about a man we know well having served our community for many years and our country as a Marine Corps veteran.
Mr. Schulte seems to have picked up our president’s disease of spewing factually inaccurate statements. Nancy Pelosi has not been House speaker for three years; it’s been seven months. Why didn’t the Republican Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, and our president give us that beautiful wall, better-than-Obamacare health care and a beautiful infrastructure plan when they controlled both houses of Congress? Because the Democrats did what? Disagree?
“All this border stuff was started by President Obama?,” writes Mr. Schulte. What? The rounding up of illegals and deporting those whom law enforcement considered criminals?
Mr. Schulte talks about liberals hating the president. No, we fear he will continue to gin up hate in our country, and do nothing to protect our vote against the people who helped elect him, Russians. Check out the Mueller report.
