We have to move away from where we are. Potential is unfulfilled promise. America has more potential and opportunity than any country, ever. We have moved from a desperate, awkward, early beginning steadily toward our full promise, with much potential still ahead. But our issues today are complicated by fear and accusations. We are in a constant state of pointed fingers; these are opportunities to look ourselves in a mirror. News is not news, but political commentary. I turn my news off whenever groups of people are falsely accused of phobias that are unfounded.
Wisdom is knowledge with discernment. We can “know,” but not use what we know wisely. In an effort to do a good thing, we don’t do the best thing. Wisdom, where is it? We have removed God from everything, while expecting things to get better. We are a nation, all of us, more privileged than imaginable, choosing to see ourselves as victims.
Never choose victory every time. If you lose the coin toss and have a good kickoff, maybe I turn it over! If something difficult happens, see it as a test to wisely learn something.
We are slowly losing our greatness. Getting it back starts right now. Love your neighbor, and disarm every stranger with a friendly greeting. You will be surprised.
