SANTA BARBARA The Guadalajara Market, 601 W. De La Guerra Street was robbed at gunpoint Friday night, police said.
Just before 7 p.m., police received a 911 call from a store clerk reporting a robbery in progress. A man entered the store and held the clerk at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money, said Sgt. Ethan Ragsdale, spokesman for the Santa Barbara Police Department.
The suspect, described as a Latino man in his 20s wearing a black hoodie, fled the store on foot headed south on San Pascual Street where a getaway vehicle was waiting. Police did not release a description on the vehicle.
An investigation is continuing.
