Bryce Warrecker had 23 points and nine rebounds to lead the Santa Barbara High boys basketball team to a 55-39 rout of Cabrillo on Tuesday night in a Channel League game at JR Richards Gym.
The Dons outscored the Conquistadores, 20-7, in the second quarter, and held them to one field goal in the third to take a 43-35 lead into the fourth quarter.
Jackson Gonzales finished with 10 points for Santa Barbara (12-6, 3-0 Channel League) and point guard Stephen Davis added nine points and seven assists.
SANTA BARBARA 44, CABRILLO 39
Despite scoring only four points in the third quarter, the Dons held off the Conquistadores for a Channel League win.
Athena Saragoza had 24 points on 10 of 20 shooting to lead Santa Barbara’s scoring attack. The Dons also won despite shooting only 30% (18-for-59).
SANTA YNEZ 45, SAN MARCOS 36
Grace Padilla had 21 points and 19 rebounds to lead the Pirates past the Royals in a Channel League game.
San Marcos led 21-20 at halftime, but was outscored, 14-2, in the third quarter. Kiani Rojas led the Royals with 10 points.
BISHOP DIEGO 45, FILLMORE 40
Julia De La Cruz had 18 points and Mileyni Sanchez buried two 3-pointers in the third quarter to lead the Cardinals past the Flashes in a non-league game.
Bishop Diego (14-6, 1-1 Frontier League) returns to league play at home against Villanova Prep on Thursday at 6 p.m.
CATE 47, VILLANOVA PREP 26
The Rams used a balanced offensive attack to improve to 5-2 on the season following its win Tuesday over the Wildcats.
Maya Blattberg led the way with 12 points, Meena Baher and Deb Brittain each scored eight.
SANTA BARBARA 0, LOMPOC 0
The Dons outshot the Braves, 14-4, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Connor Lambe did his part in preserving the shutout for Santa Barbara, as he was solid in goal for the Dons.

CATE 4, BISHOP DIEGO 1
Buba Fofanah scored three goals and Will Deardorff added one to lead the Rams past the Cardinals.
The loss was the first for Bishop Diego in Frontier League play over the last two seasons. Michael Luckhurst opened the scoring for the Cardinals with a goal 45 seconds into the match. After that, it was all Cate, which improved to 5-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the Frontier League.
ORCUTT ACADEMY 2, LAGUNA BLANCA 1
Bea Lujan scored the only goal for the Owls in their loss to Orcutt Academy.
LOMPOC 1, SANTA BARBARA 0
The Braves scored the only goal of the match on a penalty kick early in the first half. Santa Barbara goalkeeper Lia Rodriguez did her part to keep the Dons in the match, particularly in the second half, when she made five saves.
GIRLS WATER POLO
SANTA BARBARA 12, SANTA YNEZ 3
Maria Bittle had five goals and earned two ejections, while Faith Tedesco had three goals and three field blocks to lead the Dons to an easy Channel League win over the Pirates.
Oli Obando had six saves in goal for Santa Barbara, which improved to 1-1 in league. Hannah Allen, Ally Alderete and Taye Luke scored one goal each for Santa Ynez.
