LOMPOC A Lompoc man accused of fatally shooting his 18-year-old girlfriend earlier this month has been charged with murder.
Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced the felony complaint filed against Brenden Michael Terry, 20, on Monday. He is charged in the March 25 shooting death of Sarah Stoffle, of Lompoc. It is further alleged that Mr. Terry “intentionally and personally discharged a firearm causing death,” Ms. Dudley said in a news release.
Mr. Terry appeared in Santa Maria Superior Court on Monday morning and pleaded not guilty. Judge Patricia Kelly set bail at $3 million and continued the matter for a preliminary hearing on April 23 in Lompoc Superior Court.
