GOLETA The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man accused of exposing himself to a 17-year-old girl Wednesday afternoon on Cathedral Oaks Road.
At approximately 4:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 6800 block of Cathedral Oaks Road. The victim told deputies she was walking nearby when she noticed the suspect, described as a Hispanic man between 30 to 50 years old with stubble facial hair, exit a white van, who proceeded to expose himself to her, said Raquel Zick, sheriff’s spokeswoman.
The victim ran from the area and the suspect fled in the van westbound on Cathedral Oaks Road. Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle.
The vehicle is described as an older model white Ford van.
