
A Camarillo man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a stabbing that occurred Monday night at a homeless encampment near the dead end of Ward Drive in Goleta, authorities said.
At approximately 8:43 p.m. Monday, sheriff’s deputies responded to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital to investigate a report of a stabbing victim. An investigation identified the suspect as 58-year-old Glenn Allen Ray. Mr. Ray was arrested Tuesday and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and driving on a suspended license, Raquel Zick, spokeswoman for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, said in a ews release.
Mr. Ray is being held on $1 million bail. The victim, whose name was withheld, has not yet been released from the hospital, Ms. Zick said.
