CUYAMA A man suffered major injuries after being ejected from his vehicle when he crashed into a tree Wednesday near the intersection of State Route 166 and Kirschenmann Road east of Cuyama,
The crash was reported just after 6 p.m. The driver, described as an adult male, was transported by paramedics to the Cuyama Airport before being airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
