Academic and news commentator Marc Lamont HIll will speak on Santa Barbara City College campus. The lecture, called “Building Community in an Hour of Chaos,” will discuss key issues, challenges, controversies and trends that have emerged and lingered recently. Dr. Hill has written several books that touch on culture, race and politics. He has also appeared on Fox News and CNN as a contributor. The lecture will take place in SBCC’s Garvin Theatre from 6 to 7:20 p.m Nov. 13. Free parking will be available on the SBCC West Campus after 5 p.m.
