83, passed away on December 15, 2012, at her home in Buellton, CA. She was surrounded in the love and comfort of her children, Richard Markota Jr. and Michele Sturtevant.
After a 30-year career in the animation industry, Maxine moved to Buellton. She enjoyed her family, working in her garden, and walks in the park with Annie. For all of us that knew and loved her, we will forever be touched by her compassion and humor.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard “Dick”, by sisters Leona, Maurice, and Geneva, and survived by brothers Curtis and Don. Her surviving family includes her daughter-in-law Jane, son-in-law Don, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Dr, Camarillo, CA 93010 on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00am.
