William Raymond Martinez, bom June 6, 1931 in
Santa Barbara, to parents, Ygiiacio Martinez and Rachael Villalba who predeceased him. Billy passed peacefully at home in Ojai, surrounded by his wife of 43 years, Mary Lou Martinez , daughters, Monica Martinez, Anita Jeffrey and granddaughter Ariana Jeffrey.
His spouse, Mary Lou Martinez, his children and their spouses, survive Bill. Carolyn Finney (Lance), Jeanne Hall (Doug), William Perks, Monica Martinez (fiance´ Danny). Stepchildren, Anita Jeffrey (Graham), Paul Gallegos (Jeanette) and Tammy Garcia. Bill leaves behind 9 grand-children, Selena, Stephanie, Tyler, Austin, Ariana, Paul Joseph, Kynzee, Lindsey and Steven. Bill had the wonderful opportunity of meeting his great-grand daughter Piper just days prior to his passing. He will be greatly missed by his great nephews, Donny and Kenny Felts of Santa Barbara and Daryl Martinez of Ventura along with numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special acknowledgement to his son-in law Graham Jeffrey, who became his Wednesday coffee, fishing and travel buddy. The family wishes to acknowledge the special and loving care Bill and emotional support Mary Lou received from Carrie, Stephanie, Jennifer and Chaplain Jane from Livingston Visiting Nurses. Also a special thank you, to exceptional neighbors and friends Veronica and Roy Rodriguez.A memorial service will be held, March 16, 2013, 10AM, at Holy Cross Church, Santa Barbara, CA.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donation be made to Livingston Visiting Nurses.
