The McMurray Fire was considered 85 percent contained as of Friday morning with full containment expected by 8 a.m. today, authorities said.
The fire broke out around 3:20 p.m. Monday near Highway 101 and McMurray Road near Buellton. The fire was holding at 200 acres as of Friday afternoon, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Then fire prompted several evacuation orders and as many as 600 firefighters assigned to the blaze. Evacuation orders were lifted several hours after the fire broke out and fire crews began to demobilize Thursday.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
