Octaviano N. Melero 89, of Santa Maria passed away on March 1st 2013. He was born in Durango, Mexico to Juan Melero and Cresencia Navarez.
Octaviano was a very special person that was always there to help his children in any way that he could. He loved to whistle, sing and make up his own songs. He also enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.
Octaviano is survived by his wife Maria Manuela Melero and 8 of his 9 children; Abel Melero, Manuel Melero, Delfina Corral, David Melero, Socorro Perez, Octaviano Melero Jr., Martin Melero and Luis Melero.
He is preceded in death by his son Gualberto Melero who passed away in 1997.
We miss you very much “Welo” and we will always remember you with lots of love and you will be in our hearts forever.
Visitations will be held at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary on Fri March 8, 2013 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at St Louis de Montfort Catholic Church at 8:00 pm on Friday night. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Saturday March 9, 2013 at 10:00 am with burial to follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
