Attorney Michael Avenatti appeared in Santa Barbara County Superior Court on Tuesday for a debtor’s exam.
According to court records, William Parrish won a $1.5 million judgment against Mr. Avenatti in October 2018. During the exam, attorneys for Mr. Parrish asked Mr. Avenatti questions about his assets and property under oath.
Mr. Parrish and Timothy Fitzgibbons filed a separate lawsuit against Mr. Avenatti on April 2 alleging mishandling of attorney fees.
